EASTERN EQUATORIA STATE INITIATES JUSTICE AND PEACE MISSION TO RESOLVE CONFLICTS

Security forces have waged operations in Eastern Equatoria in an effort to restore harmony among the citizens in the state.

The state deputy governor Nartisio Manir Loluke said the mission carries messages of Justice and Peace to all the counties, payams, bomas and villages,
He added that the team also informs people about the forthcoming commemoration of SPLA day on May 16 2011.
Mr. Manir revealed that the Justice and Peace mission included recovering stolen cattle from all the villages in Eastern Equatoria state and returning them to the owners.
He stated that the security forces have also apprehended criminals who have been terrorizing villages, suspected murderers, road side attackers, saying some are under custody.
The deputy governor remarked that the security forces were able to penetrate areas such as Ileu, Iloli, Loming and Lalanga, that had been hard to reach.
However, the deputy governor did not disclose the number of suspects so far arrested and the cattle recovered.
