The Southern Kordofan voting for governorship and parliament ended yesterday.

The voting took three days according to the national electoral commission in the state criteria, Voice of Love FM reported.

The head of polling staff in Hiban voting centre, Kodi Tamam Kacho, said over 2,000 people cast their votes there.

Mr. Tamam stated that the voting at the beginning was challenging as people were pushing one another but they managed to settle everything peacefully and fairly.

The head of polling station in Kichama East, George Anur, said he appreciated the cooperation among voters and his staff.

Mr. Anur said that the two parties were cooperating well without any violence.

Meanwhile, in some places like Tura and Ferish, minor challenges were experienced.

The head of staff John Hutturah said that there was overcrowding of the voters in the polling station and scrambled over since everyone wanted to be in the first line.

He said nearly 1,000 voted in Ferish.
