The Auxiliary bishop of Catholic Archdiocese of Juba has stated that the Social Communication Department is valued by the Bishops’ Conference and as such it is being resuscitated.

Bishop Santo Loku Pio said that the Bishops value the role played by the Social Communication department that is why it matters to them as Bishops to resuscitate the department citing that information is power.

“The bishops are very concerned about the Social Communication Department because it acts as a power for the people”.

Loku Pio pointed out that Social Communicators lead the society by digging out the information to strengthen the society but if social communicators turn to cover up some truth then they lose credibility and the community become weak.

“Our society definitely becomes weak if our Social Communicators become weak because the society depends entirely on us to get truthful information” Bishop narrates.

The Catholic Bishop made these remarks to Social Communicators during the 5 years strategic plan for Social Communication and Catholic Radio Network in Kit, Juba.
