The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in South Sudan launched its long-awaited website in Juba on Monday with domain name “https://mofaic.gov.ss/”

Official says the website will provide a platform for information dissemination, communication, and engagement with the international community.

This development comes as South Sudan seeks to strengthen its presence on the global stage and enhance its diplomatic relations with other nations.

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Deng Dau Deng said the website will help the ministry staff to interact with the public and diaspora community.

“We aim to foster open communication, facilitate collaboration and strengthen our diplomatic relations,” he stated.

Deng further added that “I am proud to present this diplomatic journal for the Ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation, both of which will play a crucial role in enhancing our diplomatic efforts and promoting transparency.”

The launch of the website is a testament to South Sudan’s commitment to transparency and openness in its foreign affairs.

It provides a centralized hub for accessing information about the ministry’s activities, policies, and initiatives.

The website also serves as a platform for showcasing South Sudan’s diplomatic achievements and promoting its national interests.

It highlights the country’s efforts in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and regional cooperation. Additionally, it offers insights into South Sudan’s foreign policy priorities, such as economic development, trade, and investment.

The Minister of Presidential Affairs, Barnaba Marial Benjamin said the website will present accurate online information as opposed to the content that tarnishes the image of the country.

Benjamin said, “Your website is very important strategically for this country, there is much wrong information online, and we must frog leap.”

With the launch of the website, South Sudan aims to foster greater engagement and collaboration with the international community.

It also provides a space for dialogue and exchange of ideas, facilitating discussions on various diplomatic issues.
