South Sudan Council of Churches is set to conduct a meeting in resolving conflict and reconciliation among the community in Upper State.
Simon Ador Ton Regional Coordinator says the Council of Churches is working in the state for the service of humanity and peace.
He says the Church has a role to play in resolving conflicts and reconciliation in Upper Nile.
Ador adds that the Council of Churches contributes to peacebuilding and creating a neutral platform between the conflicting parties.
“Building the capacity of church leaders, and paying attention to the spiritual aspects that in turn help in harmony among members of the same community, “Ador states.”
Ador reveals that the upcoming meeting will bring both priests, Christian clerics, displaced persons across Malakal, and the state ministry of peace.
The conference is expected to create peace between the tribes in the Upper Nile state.
