The Bishop of Yei Catholic Diocese Alex Lodiong Sakor is blaming the citizens for lacking constancy in building the nation.

This came ahead of South Sudan’s 12th Independence Day anniversary on July 9th, 2011

Bishop Alex regrets that South Sudan’s independence started with a crisis from the beginning which signals that something is wrong that needs everyone’s contribution.

The Catholic prelate expressed the need for stability in the government management and administration of the country.

The Catholic leader further points out that power wrangles within the SPLM party have become a national problem that escalated to every part of the country.

Bishop Lodiong reiterated calls to the leaders to deter corruption in the country as citizens are preparing for the election.

He mentions that leaders who promote corruption should face the law and then only dismiss them without a court trial, which is encouraging a cycle of corruption.

The religious leader points out that the nation is very rich with resources but the wealth is ended in the pockets of few individuals.
