A dozen of children were admitted in Tonj hospital suffering from malnutrition.

World Vision operating in Tonj South County of Warrap state opened a nutrition centre at Tonj Civil hospital at the end of March, Don Bosco FM reported.

So far 12 children were admitted and four were discharged last week to continue Out Patients Treatment.

Nutrition assistant Daniel Deng said the NGO takes care of children with medical complications from malnutrition.

He added that children from six months to five years of age are weighed, measured and have their physical abilities tested.

Mr. Deng said some children improved their condition and were discharged.

He appealed to parents to take proper care of their children.

Adut Kulang had one of her children admitted. She said she was very happy because her baby was becoming normal again.
