The United Democratic Front (UDF) has chosen a hybrid system of governance with the executive power divided between the president and a prime-minister.
The UDF concluded on Wednesday a two-day National Reactivation Conference to discuss issues connected with the independence and post-independence transition, Bakhita Radio reported.UDF secretary general David William Tut said the hybrid system with a president and a prime-minister does not allow the concentration of power in one person alone.
The UDF also proposed a mixed system of economy for the new nation.
Mr. William said the party has chosen the mixed system of economy to protect the local business people against the free market.
The UDF also discussed solutions for the social and cultural issues and came up with a call for a multi ethnicity approach to strengthen unity in South Sudan.
