The Bishop-elect of the Catholic Diocese of Torit, Monsignor Emmanuel Bernadino has called on Christians to deepen their faith as the Diocese celebrates its centenary.
Monsignor Emmanuel arrived in Torit this morning with a delegation headed by His Eminence, Cardinal Gabriel Zubeir Wakoto to attend the Centenary Celebrations.
He says Christians will be able to uplift their spiritual faith and be true witnesses of the Lord through evangelization
The Bishop-elect encourages the faithful to always pray and thank God for the protection in all situations they undergo.
Fr. Monsignor Emmanuel was recently appointed as bishop of the Torit diocese.
He arrived in Juba on Thursday from Khartoum and proceeded to Torit ahead of the preparation for his Episcopal Consecration to assume the responsibility of Torit Diocese.
The Archbishop of Juba H.G. Dr. Stephen Ameyu who is currently also the Apostolic Administrator of Torit Diocese will coordinate and introduce the Bishop-Elect to Catholic Faithful on the related protocols towards the Consecration.
