A Catholic church Sister at Sacred Heart Nursery School in Juba is calling on street children to join missionary schools to secure their future. Sr. Magret Lakop, says the church schools are teaching children moral and spiritual behaviour.
She urges children on the street to study with their brothers and sisters in schools. “Our children on the street, who have no one to care for them, that God may bless them, touch their hearts to come back to their senses to come back to study with their brothers and sisters.” Siter Lakop pleads.
She encourages parents to introduce their children to the church. “Let them continue to introduce their children to the church and to let children learn how to pray so that they can get that blessing and the grace from God for their lives.” She explained.
Children from Sacred Heart school have visited Sudan and South Catholic Bishops Conference (SCBC) on Wednesday during their annual visit to church institutions.
Fr. Peter Suleiman Bolls, the Secretary General of SCBC says the visit of school children is historical to the institution.
He says the motive of children’s tours is to encourage them to know their responsibilities and places. “It’s good but also historical things, of course, this is also another way of bringing up the children in a mature way to know their responsibilities and to know their places,” Peter added.
Children from Sacred Heart nursery entered the SSCBS compound singing songs of joy, led prayers, and were later blessed by Fr. Peter Suleiman who sprinkled water, as a blessing to the innocent souls during their annual tour.
Fr. Peter Suliman and Sr Magret Lakop spoke to the media after children of Secret heart school paid a quick visit to the Bishop’s Secretariat in Juba on Wednesday.
