JOINT DONOR COUNTRIES MEET TO DISCUSS WAYS TO CONTINUE AID

The Joint Donor Team held their annual meeting in Juba and discussed individual and joint commitments to support the development of South Sudan.

Addressing the press this afternoon, the Netherlands head of Mission in South Sudan, Marrier Schuurman, said the six donor countries have been working together during the interim period.

She added that the cooperation showed during the interim period is needed for the transition period so that the aid can be effective.

The Joint Donor Team is made up of Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
