The governor of Eastern Equatoria state yesterday reaffirmed his loyalty to the SPLM although the party chose another candidate to run for the post in the April general elections.

While speaking at the official opening of the new Education Ministry office yesterday, Aloisio Emor Ojetuk urged his supporters to remain calm as he is yet to make a decision.

However, he professed his commitment to the SPLM.

The Governor rejected accusations that he concentrated resources in developing Torit, adding that all counties have been covered in terms of schools.

Mr. Emor confirmed that Eastern Equatoria State has achieved a high increase of registrations in both primary and secondary schools within a span of four years.
