Funding of political parties is a prerequisite to build democracy and to work for peace and stability in southern Sudan, a political leader said.
United Democratic Front (UDF) Chairperson, Peter Abdurrahman Sule, asked for fundings for all political parties in southern Sudan in order to strengthen democracy.
Mr. Sule said UDF fears that dominant parties will use the state resources to finance themselves and suppress the opposition.
He concluded that all political parties should have equal rights and chances to go and talk to the grassroots.
