U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said yesterday Sudan is at a critical juncture as parties prepare for elections in April.

In a statement marking today’s CPA fifth anniversary, Ms. Clinton credited both the NCP and the SPLM for the progress in the implementation process but said it is not yet enough to secure lasting peace, Voice of America reported.

She added that parties face a choice between reverting back to conflict or moving forward together toward a lasting peace.

Ms. Clinton warned that the US holds all parties in Sudan accountable if peace progress is impeded.
