UDF NOMINATES LEADER FOR CENTRAL EQUATORIA GOVERNORSHIP

The United Democratic Front (UDF) has nominated its leader as candidate for the governorship of Central Equatoria state in the April general elections.
Loro Luwala, UDF Central Equatoria election coordinator, told SCR news that his party has unanimously proposed Peter Abdurrahman Sule, UDF Chairman, as its candidate for Central Equatoria state governorship.

Mr. Luwala said that the nominee welcomed the proposal.

Mr. Luwala added that UDF has high prospect of success because the party has only one candidate for the post of governorship of the state.

He said that the UDF will not field a candidate for GoSS presidency.

Peter Abdurrahman Sule is the forth candidate to make public his intension to contest for Central Equatoria governorship.

Other candidates are Alfred Ladu Gore, Alfred Taban and Alikaya Aligo Samson, all from the SPLM.

The SPLM Deputy Secretary General for the Southern Sector, Dr. Anne Itto, told SCR News that there are nine candidates ready to contest for the governorship of Central Equatoria state.
