A medical director at Juba Teaching Hospital said that there was not a single accident case reported during the Christmas festivities.
Dr. Maker Isaac Wel told SCR News that road users followed traffic rules this Christmas season and there were no casualties attended in the hospital.

He acclaimed the efforts of the military and traffic police that maintained traffic under control during Christmas and averted accidents.

However, Dr. Maker noted with absolute concern the accident that occurred on the hospital premises.

On Saturday, a jeep jumped over the water ditch, knocked down the Hospital’s metallic fence and crashed almost upright against the window of a small operating theatre.

Dr. Maker said no one was injured in the spectacular accident.

He added that the institution opened a careless driving case against the driver.
