Students at the University of Juba said they wanted to meet GoSS Vice-president today to discuss the issue of unpaid bursaries by GoSS Ministry of Education.
Denaya Cosmo Titus is the spokesperson of University of Juba Students Union.

He told SCR news that the students rejected the five-month bursaries payment offer by GoSS Ministry of Education, saying they agreed to get the full money due for nine months.

Mr. Denaya said the students wanted to meet GoSS vice president, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, over the issue.

He added that the students are not happy with any statement from the ministry except for the payment of their bursaries in full.

Mr. Denaya said students expected to meet Dr. Machar this morning if nothing good came out from the ministry.

He added that the students will not give up the struggle till they are granted what is their due.

The students of the University of Juba demonstrated last Friday over their unpaid nine-month bursaries.

An urgent meeting held on Saturday between students, the Attorney General and the University Principal bore no success to the dispute.
