The Archbishop of Juba has called on the youth of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Gumbo to take over parish activities in the absence of elders.

Archbishop Paulino Lokudu Loro was speaking at the 150 years celebration of the Salesians of Don Bosco, yesterday, in Gumbo.

He told the youth to handle parish affairs if the elders refuse to avail themselves.

Archbishop Paolino advised the youth to remain bold in running church affairs without fear.

He said that the absence of elders in the parish should not be a major problem that retards parish activities.

The Archbishop added that elders are not only in age but also in spirit.

Archbishop Paolino concluded that if the elders refuse to handle the parish activities, then the youth must take the lead.
