Police authorities ban holding sticks in Tonj market due to fights

Police authorities issued an order banning the people to hold sticks in Malith market due to fighting.

Some people in Tonj South County of Warrap State use sticks to attack people in the market as there are guns in the hands of civilians, Don Bosco Radio reported.

Don Bosco Radio reached.

First Lieutenant John Chol Malueth of Malith market said the order came after the section of groups fought in the market.

He said the fighting was about the pregnant girl in the village that reaches to the main town.

Chol Malueth added that moving with the stick is risk though the people are in peace.

First Lieutenant Chol urged the entire community to stop engaging girls in the market to avoid fighting among communities.

The official made remarks to Don Bosco Radio on Tuesday evening in Tonj.
