Vice President for Services Cluster launches South Sudan Secondary Exams

Vice President for Services Cluster, Hussein Abdel Baggi Akol and Central Equatoria State Governor, Emmanuel Adil Anthony on Wednesday officiated the start of South Sudan Secondary Certificate Exams at Juba Technical Secondary School.

He after ringing the bell to signal the start of exams across the country encouraged the candidates to work hard with faith and avoid exams malpractice, Radio Easter reported.

The Vice President advised the candidates to critically understand questions before attempting, wishing them success in their endeavours as intellectual force of the country.

The vice president acknowledged the education partners especially UNICEF for supplementing government’s efforts in the sector, calling for continuous cooperation.

Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil advised the students to be determined and properly manage time to succeed.

State Minister of General Education and Instructions, Ciricio Zechariah Lodu Bepo, confirmed his ministry’s commitment to work closely with partners in creating an enabling environment for professionals to lift the literacy rate.

Over 30,000 candidates are sitting for the South Sudan Secondary Certificate exams including 21,799 males and 10,368 females across the country, starting with Chemistry and Commerce papers.

Various government officials, education partners and other stakeholders in the country attended the launch of the Exams.
