A-two-day training for vaccinators has on Thursday kicked off in Torit County of Eastern Equatoria State.
The training organized and conducted by Organization for people empowerment and needs (OPEN) aims at building capacity of the vaccinators.
The vaccinators are drawn from Himodonge, Bur, Ifwotu and Iyire Payams of Torit County.
Director for Torit County Health Department Mr. Mathew Ohitai in the opening session encouraged the vaccinators to be attentive to the training.
He appealed to the vaccinators to work together with the community and authorities in the implementation of acquired knowledge in their respective places.
“This is our responsibilities at least to give something to our communities because our communities they are our leaders, we have leaders there, we have everybody there, if we did not treat their children in future what can we do?, we would be challenge by the donors that we are doing nothing but from this one I am talking to all of you even although it very few of you but make some commitment.” He urged.
Ohitai further encouraged the vaccinators to obey and serve the community diligently without feeling bigger than the people they serve.
“Don’t boast that am now somebody trained as a Vaccinator you did not understand what the other colleges has said but you have to listen especially to your leaders, see your supervisor you have to obey them that’s, why if you are obeying your supervisor everything will be clearly any report you have to give in timely because in every fifth of the Month we need the report to reach the County.” He added.
The training will concludes today Friday, in Torit Town.
