The Emeritus Catholic Bishop of Yei Erkolano Lodu Tombe is call for patience and forgiveness among the faithful during the Lenten season as the country and its people are experiencing challenges.
He reiterates on forgiveness of each other and avoids pointing fingers on one another as the cause of problems to improve the situation, Radio Easter reported.
Bishop Lodu explains that it is a year of pains and of grace relating it to the visit of Pope Francis to South Sudan from the 5th to the 7th of March.
He said despite all difficulties citizens encountered, God continues to be present amidst the people.
The Catholic prelate encourages all faithful to accept the challenges and grow in God for the give of life and faith.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe was encouraging the faithful during the first mass at Christ the King Cathedral in the Catholic Diocese of Yei.
