UNOP pays last incentive to road and farm clearance workers in Tonj

United Nations Office for Project or UNOP cleared the last payment of incentive to around five hundred and fifty-eight workers working on road clearance and farms production in Tonj South County of Warrap State.

The payment started three days ago with workers from Thiet Payam and Kuanyja Boma with amount of 62,000 SSP to each person, Don Bosco Radio reported.

Saverio Jima Madut, one of the beneficiaries appealed to his colleagues not to wastes the money before paying school fees for their children.

Madut said the incentives have helped affected people a lot during the time of insecurity especially displaced persons.

He asked UNOP to continue with its tireless support to the community of Tonj.

Elizabeth Adut Njur expressed gratitude to UNOP for supporting the local farmers with skills by keeping them active since there is time for cultivation due insecurity last year.

The beneficiaries made this remarks to Don Bosco Radio on Thursday in Tonj.
