The Catholic Bishop of Wau during ecumenical and interreligious prayer for peace on Tuesday urged government to invest in education.
Bishop Matthew Remijo Adam called on the government to minimize spending a lot of money on buying weapons so that peace can prevail in the country, Voice of Hope Radio reported.
Bishop Remijo stressed that for peace to prevail in the country the government needs to buy text books for learning and offers scholarships for students for better education in the country rather than buying guns.
Bishop made these remarks to the public at St. Mary Cathedral during peace prayer on Tuesday.
