The Parish Priest of Our Lady of Holy Rosary says it is through God that we are all blessed and protected throughout the year 2021.

Fr. Anthony Odoemelam says people should be grateful to God for He has done a lot of wonderful things to everyone, Radio Emmanuel reported.

“When we reflect over our life from the beginning of this year January 1st to today being December 31st, indeed if we begin to count our blessings from the beginning of this year to now, we may not live here today because God has done so much to us. For some of us God has given us the gift of a child or children as the case may be this year. For some of us it is a gift of a life partner, I know some of us got married this year, for some cases it is job opportunity, some persons got employment this, for some cases it is appointment in the government”, he explains.

Fr. Odoemelam calls on the congregation members to examine and evaluate themselves for better improvement.

“My dear brothers and sisters today being the last day of the year we are also invited to do the thorough examinations and evaluations of our lives since the beginning of this year. Let us reflect by looking back and examine how we have live our life because by examining our live we would come to the knowledge of what we have done well and where we need some improvements as human there is always something to be done well about our us human beings, there is always something  to be done well about our life, it all depends on what we discover our life”, he says

Fr Odoemelam says New Year will be the year of accomplishment and that “let the New Year be for opening new chapters in our lives”.

Let us use the new year to open another chapter of our life, another chapter in our life, it is my prayer that the year 2022 will be wonderful for each one of us gathered here, it is my prayer that those things that we were not able to accomplish last year, that let this year be the year of accomplishment for each one of us”, he notes.

The parish priest was preaching at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary during New Year Eve Mass on Friday.
