Principal of Torit Health Science Institute, Tobias Magesi, says the school has performed well, despite some challenges, including lack of enough infrastructures, facing the students.

“Torit Health Science we are really moving forward. Last year we got 86% and this year we are now moving to 93%, despite the fact that we are really going forward the school has really some key challenges. One of the key challenges is infrastructure is really facing us, it is making us make sure we have to make trips, some of the students have to come in the morning, others have to come at noon time which is not really good in the medical institution. The Internet has been there but now it has really caused us a lot of scarce resources. These are the major key challenges we need to put forward. Our main target as the school by the year 2030 we want to fill all the health facilities within the Bomas to have at least well trained personnel from the institution”.

Out of 165 students who sat for the National Health Professional Examinations’ Board in Torit, ten are to re-sit for supplementary papers.

The gender enrolment was 46% for females while 54% for males.
