“Don’t destroy relations with people because of temporary positions”, says Nadiong Mary Alfonse, deputy governor of Eastern Equatoria State.

She says it will be worst when there is power wrangle because it will lead to the sufferings of people, Radio Emmanuel reported.

“These positions are just temporary, you shouldn’t destroy your relations with people because of temporary position, this is just a very rudimentary politics, you cannot do that. The worst part of it is when your own wrangling is having an impact on your community that you claim you are responsible off”, Mary explains.

The deputy governor calls for cooperation between various political parties in order to achieve one goal.

“We come from different political parties, let’s meet and we can share. Now we have realized that we are all having one vision and that vision is the people of EES as the first”.

Mary made the remarks on Saturday during the closing of a two-day consultative meeting in Torit.

The meeting has drawn various Eastern Equatoria State Members of Parliament at the national level, state Ministers, counties commissioners, mayors across.
