FIFA trains 31 referees in South Sudan

The Federation of International Football Association or FIFA trained at least 31 South Sudan referees for five days and awarded certificates of merits to them in Juba.

The course that brought together eight female referees and 23 males was on the FIFA amendment on laws of the game, fitness test and decision making.

FIFA representative from the Confederation of African Football or CAF-Rwanda, Celestin Ntangira appreciates the referees for their active participation during the course.

He encourages them to deliver quality refereeing skills of FIFA standards to their respective states.

The trained referees promise to perform well and call for more training to improve and move forward.

The President of South Sudan Football Association, Augustino Maduot emphasizes on body fitness and hard work to uplift the standard of football in South Sudan.

He promises to stay close to the referees and to support them where necessary.

The speakers made the remarks during the closing of the training of 31 referees over the weekend in Juba.
