Butchers in Tonj South County of Warrap State say they are still waiting for the promise made by World Vision to construct a building for selling their meat product.
The promise was made after the organization trained some of them last month.
One of the butchers, Madiing Chol says they are happy for the pledge and the training they had.
“We don’t have sought slaughter we told World Vision which is the first thing, but we are still waiting”.
Chol says they have been operating in a very old building.
“It is very dirty we don’t have any alternative. We told World Vision that they need a storehouse to put in the cattle skin and horns”.
Deputy County Director in the Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Dr. Agany Aroup confirms the challenges facing butchers in the area.
Dr Agany adds that the ministry has vaccinated all the cattle except the one in the flooded area.
The speakers made their remarks to Radio Don Bosco on Friday in Tonj.
