A senior presidential advisor criticized the step taken by the SPLM to suspend post-referendum talks with the NCP.
Salah Gosh, who is also a chief negotiator, told Voice of America yesterday that the SPLM will return to the negotiations table because it has no other way than sitting down and finding a solution for the issues under discussion. He added that SPLM is trying to build a new environment to gain Abyei and have better shares in oil.
Mr. Gosh refused to comment on the documents the SPLM secretary general Pagan Amum displayed as evidence that the NCP is arming militia groups in South Sudan.
