Torit County authorities empowering landlords to settle land related disputes after a series of meeting and consultations with various stakeholders in the state.
State deputy governor Nartisio Lolukei described yesterday’s meeting as God given to discuss land issues in Torit as one family, Emmanuel Radio reported.Torit County Commissioner Felix Otuduha Siro said landlords have the sole mandate to resolve land related disputes in the county.
He added that the landlords know land boundaries well and they should curse whoever dares to occupy land belonging to other people.
The meeting that brought together landlords, community leaders, intellectuals, members of parliament and state government officials, aimed at discussing land issues in Torit County especially in areas bordering Nyong Payam.
