Wau Catholic Bishop receives first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine

The Catholic Bishop of Wau Matthew Remijo Adam Gbitiku on Tuesday received his first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine against.

The event happened after diocesan health office and the state ministry of health organized to vaccinate church leaders including nuns and priests and some staff working in secretariat.

Diocesan health coordinator Dr. Jurel Payii Mamur confirms to Voice of Hope Radio that the vaccination was successful, showing no danger on the vaccine.

Bishjop Remijo says due to pastoral work, some priests now help of God are receiving their first doses.

The catholic prelate explains that he did not experience any dangerous side effect of the vaccine and encourages the people to go for vaccination.

The bishop is receiving the first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine, while some priests and sisters are taking their second doses.
