Hundreds of South Sudanese faithful gathered at Kator Cathedral to celebrate the Centenary of Legion Mary in juba.
The celebration marks the first centenary in the country.
Archbishop of Juba Archdiocese Stephen Ameyu Martin Mula says the legion Mary is not only for mothers, but for everybody.
“This is not the movement of mothers alone, it is a movement for fathers, daughters and all of us. All of us are invited to be legion of Mary, if some men are still sleeping.”
The celebration is under the theme, “Unity in the Midst of diversity in legion of Mary, strengthens the body of Christ.”
The Legion of Mary is an international association of members of the Roman Catholic Church who serve it on a voluntary basis.
It was founded in Dublin, as a Roman Catholic Marian Movement by the layman and civil servant Frank Duff.
