The Governor of Eastern Equatoria State urges the newly appointed state members to acquire knowledge by consulting experts to deliver good services.

Louis Lobong Lojore was speaking during the swearing in ceremony of state officials in Eastern Equatoria.

He says none of the advisors have advised him on anything that concerns the state since his appointment as the state governor.

“Some of you have been working in my government; in the first place, ask your colleague, how are people moving, you will find technocrats there in your department. Some of those have been working in that department before you were even born; they are specialists in the department. Acquire knowledge from them. Those who have been given an assignment, I don’t understand what they mean by advisor. Some people are said to be advisors to the government and some of them even I haven’t met or even did come to me one day haven’t come to advise me on small thoughts like these”, the Governor said.

He adds that “And I’m telling the parties who elected these members what the purpose was so that they can be seen as said advisors if they cannot bring any advice to me if I don’t see them. I’m still collecting data and I will write to their respective parties”.

On behalf of the newly sworn in officials, Charles Lokonoi Ambrose urges his colleagues to work hard and leave their political differences aside.

“We are going to contribute according to what we have and what we don’t have we will get from the neighbors. When you see us going astray you tell us in EES this is how we serve. If we are able, we will help you here. We will try our level best and with total support from you people, let’s cooperate for a common goal of EES. We will also appeal to our brothers from OPP that EES is not made of politics, when it comes to your party, have it peacefully. When it comes to the entire people of EES, let’s keep our political differences aside and make sure EES goes back to its normal”.

The newly appointed state members include Charles Lokonoi Ambrose, Advisor on Gender, Child and Social Welfare, Lodae Pascalino Romeo, State minister of Health, Elijah Lokaale Lopuke, Member of Resolution and Reconciliation Commission.
