Catholic Archbishop appeals to the government to redeploy and replace the forces working along Juba Nimule road, to protect civilians.
Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla made the statement after four people; including two sisters were killed along the road on Monday.
“Three or two days ago, there were two incidences where a car was also attached. So where is regular attackon the road comes from? The government need to come in and follow the culprits or redeploy and change those who are working on the road and bring new people”, Archbishop stressed.
The Archbishop says he was devastated to hear that the two sisters were shot dead after the celebration of the centenary.
“As the head of the Church here at the Archdiocese of Juba, I am saddened by the saddened death of the two sisters, Mary Abbud and Sister Regina Roba, who was working in our health institute in Wau. We are devastated after the celebration of the centenary, just one day after these two sisters were murdered on their way back to Juba”, he adds.
He conveys his condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased.
“So my thoughts and my sympathies and my condolences to all the relatives and friends of the two sisters and the rest of the other people who were also murdered with the sisters. May the Almighty God save their souls in heaven”, he wishes.
