The families of the officials who are detained by the National Security according to the authorities at the Ministry of Labour, Public Service and Human Resource Development are calling on the state government to release their sons.
The families are calling for immediate release of the detainees because they are not criminals but have been executing their duties as tasked by the resolution of the council of Ministers number 21 for the year 2018.
One of the family members said it is of great humiliation that government officials are harshly detained yet the state government is keeping quite.
The Families representative points out that if there are accusations or charges against them it has to be police that is dealing with them and they should be taken to court.
She said keeping them under custody at the National Security premise is a violation of laws.
The lady says families of the detainees are facing dreadful life challenges because they are left with nobody to carter for family meals and many other needs.
It is now one week since the National security arrested detainees and their families are having no access to them and nothing is clear about their living conditions.
On Saturday the Ministry of Labour and Public Service called for detention of all stakeholders who passed the resolution of the council of ministers in 2018 instead of locking for poor officials at the Ministry who were directed based on the resolution.
