Yei River County of Central Equatorial State has officially launched Corona virus vaccination campaign on Monday.
Speaking during the launch, Director of Yei County Health Department, Michael Lugala urges the citizens to receive the vaccine, to protect themselves against the pandemic, Radio Easter reports.
He advises that the vaccine will reduce and prevent the spread of the virus among communities.

Lugala regrets that covid-19 is still killing a big number of people globally and calls on individuals to take all the preventive measures seriously.

Health partners’ representative, Taban John, thanks the ministry of health, government and the implementing partners for sending the covid-19 vaccine to Yei.
He regrets that only one thousand doses were approved for Yei, saying will not be enough for the entire population of the county.

John assures the public of more doses after the first phase of the vaccine, arguing that vaccinating a small number of people will not guarantee fighting against the pandemic.
He advises the county health department to lobby for more doses in order to cover a bigger population.
