Six county commissioners from Warrap State took part in a two-day workshop organized by the UNDP in Kwajok to identify root causes and resolution of conflicts.

Tonj South County Commissioner Akec Tong Alieu, who attended the workshop, told Don Bosco FM that bad roads and bad communications were the major difficulties to combat conflict and cattle raiding tops the list in Warrap state.

He added that the UNDP will provide satellite phones and motorbikes to make communications easily in each county.

Mr. Tong said the UNDP promised to send to his county four motorbikes, one satellite and one mobile phone and one computer to ease communications and transport.

He added that the computer will remain in the county headquarters.

The UNDP donation is part of a wider programme to provide county commissioners and payam directors with the means necessary to discharge their jobs.
