Director-General dismisses rumours of closing schools due to covid-19

Director General in the State Ministry of Education in Western Bahr-El-Ghazal dismisses rumours circulating among the people that there is going to be covid-19 lockdown and schools will be closed down again.

Luciano Alberto Orayo through Voice of Hope Radio says COVID-19 is not something new which will force the government to close school again.

He calls on citizens not to believe on the circulating rumours and all they need to do is to follow the health guidelines against the virus.

Alberto warns all school administrations against huge number of students being accumulated in one class.

He warns that the Alternative Learning Program will be closed down because they are not following COVID-19 health measures.

The director-general encourages all parents and guardians to take their children to schools and should not worry because schools are not going to be closed again.

The official made the remarks to Voice of Hope Radio on Tuesday in Wau, Western Bahr-El-Ghazal State.
