The Constitution of South Sudan has to be consensual and not the imposed product of a small group, a bishop said.
Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro of Tombura-Yambio told SCR News that the draft of new Constitution of South Sudan should involve the population of the region.He added that the fundamental law is the foundation for the future of the new country.
Bishop Hiiboro said the new country needs new values in all walks of life.
He added that the Church has to foster a new values system in South Sudan.
Bishop Hiiboro added that the Church has a role to play to preserve peace, change attitudes and shape a common identity for the people of South Sudan.
