Central Bank of South Sudan says it is going to increase auction to commercial banks in US Dollars by sixty percent and fifty percent to Forex bureau.
Addressing journalists in Juba, Central Bank Governor Dier Tong Ngor says the increment is expected to start from next week, to gain the value of South Sudanese Pounds.
Early this month, the prices of commodities in the market reduced after the Central Bank of South Sudan auctioned the commercial banks.
The governor of central bank denies rumours circulating in social media that the bank is introducing 5000 South Sudanese pounds’ notes.
He adds that the bank has no plan of introducing 5000SSP notes.
Governor Tong made this remarks on Tuesday in his office at the Central Bank in Juba.
