Bishop Erkolano Ladu Tombe of Yei Catholic Diocese is appealing to the government to bring to book the suspected SPLA soldiers who killed Sister Veronica while on medical duty.
Sister Veronica was shot in 2016 on her hip after delivering two expectant mothers at St Bakhita Medical Centre in Yei. Until now, the suspected SPLA soldiers have not been brought to book.
Bishop Ladu says the Church has forgiven the killers, but the government should ensure that justice prevails.
Ladu laments that it is not easy to forgive, but it is necessary in Christianity.
Bishop Ladu says the Church cannot allow injustice to continue destroying South Sudan and the whole world.
He says, the case of Sister Veronica is taking too long, but the church will continue perusing justice.
