At least five police personnel, including two commissioner’s bodyguards have been wounded, following a conflict between Gony and Thiyith section of Agar Dinka in Maleng-Agok of Rumbek East.
In an exclusive interview with Good News Radio, Captain Elijah Mabor Makuac reports that four weapons were also taken by the youth during the clashes.
He adds that the wounded policemen are receiving treatment at the state hospital.
Mabor says County Commissioner Mapuor Malek is on the ground with forces to contain the security situation.
Mabor calls for comprehensive disarmament because the civil population has become more hostile than before and fighting the government.
