Civil Activist in Western Bahr el Ghazal State says the Chamber of Commerce failed in monitoring and supervising the markets despite falling of hard currencies against SSP.
Linda Ferdinand Hussein confirms that South Sudanese Pound is gaining strength against US Dollar, but prices of commodities remain high in the markets, Voice of Hope Radio reported.
She adds that, last week the Chamber issued a statement setting up prices of basic commodities, but the prices remain the same.
Linda asks the concerned authorities to address the matter because the ordinary citizens are the most people affected.
Noteworthy, last week, the chairperson of Chamber of Commerce in Wau urged citizens to help them in maintaining prices in markets through buying goods at legal prices.
