Unknown gunmen wounded woman in Budi County, confirms commissioner

A 35-year-old woman was wounded by unknown gunmen in Lojiong Payam in Budi County, Eastern Equatoria State on Thursday evening; Commissioner Akilleo Mboya confirmed this to Radio Emmanuel.

He says the attackers shot the bullets at randomly and targeting buildings of people, and it left one person injured.

Mboya calls on communities in Budi to be calm as the investigation is ongoing.

He urges the citizens of Eastern Equatoria State to be peace loving people and ambassadors of peace.

“My message to the people of BUDI county and Eastern Equatoria is that they have remain calm and be peace ambassadors in the respectful society and work for peace all of us must work for peace, peace is the only thing that will bring for us change without peace nothing can change we must be peace lovers we must be agent (of peace) in our own respectful society we really need our people especially in Eastern Equatoria to love themselves and give peace an opportunity such that development can take place, let them embrace peace and work together for sustainable economic development of Eastern Equatoria state and BUDI County particularly”, Commissioner MBoya appealed.

The speaker made the remark to Radio Emmanuel on telephone interview on Friday in Torit.
