Youth mourns death of H.G Emeritus Archbishop Paolino Lukudu

The youths of Catholic diocese of Torit are mourning the death of emeritus archbishop Paulino Lukudu Loro who passed on in Nairobi, Kenya.

In a condolence message written by the youths to the archbishop of Juba, the youths chairperson Libel Amos Ucwaa says they are united in prayers with all the faithful.

It is a heartfelt sadness that we write you, on behalf of the youths of Catholic Diocese of Torit to condolence with you and the whole faithful of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba, for the loss of our great Emeritus Archbishop His Grace, the Late Paulino Lokudu Loro. We are saddened by this loss as we fondly remember his dedication as a shepherd to all the people of God, especially how he made the Arch-diocesan centenary inclusive for the diocese of Yei and Torit. We the youths of the Catholic diocese of Torit are united in prayers and mourning for your Grace and Archdiocese of Juba

Archbishop Lukudu was born on August 23, 1940 in Kwerijik village of Juba.

He joined the Congregation of the Comboni Missionaries and was ordained priest on April 12th, 1970.

Lukudu was appointed Archbishop of Juba on February 19, 1983 and served in the office up to 2020 when he retired.
