Eastern Equatoria Health Minister, Patrick Lodinga vows to take the first jab of Astra Zeneca vaccine as soon as it arrives in the state.
He says the first vaccine will start from all the state officials and this is to pave way for others to also take the vaccine without fear, Radio Emmanuel reported.
He however says the Astra Zeneca vaccine has not yet arrived in the state.
Lodinga cautions citizens in Eastern Equatoria State against listening to negative rumours about the injection of the vaccine.
He advises the general public not to fear taking Astra Zeneca vaccine as all other countries have received and taken it.
South Sudan’s COVID-19 vaccination kicked off on April 6th 2021 with health workers getting their first dose of the Astra Zeneca vaccine at Juba Teaching Hospital.
The first person in the country to be vaccinated against the virus was Minister for Health,Elizabeth Achuei.
