Church personnel gathering in Rumbek for their annual assembly shared the identity of their various religious congregations and groups with the faithful, manifesting the variety of gifts from God for the diocese.
Bishop Caesar Mazzolari presided over the Sunday Eucharistic celebration in Rumbek’s cathedral together with members from different religious communities that included the Loreto Sisters, Comboni Missionaries, Apostles of Jesus and the Jesuits and Focollari, Good News Radio reported.Members from those groups introduced their institutes to the congregation attending the mass.
Vicar General Fr. Andrea Osman spoke on behalf of the diocesan priests, describing them as community evangelizers under the bishop.
Sisters of Mary of Kakamega, from Kenya, Missionary Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church founded in Lira – Uganda and Sisters of Our Lady of Charity also presented their congregations.
Members from the Marianists; Missionaries of Charity founded by Blessed Mother Teresa fo Calcutta and the Evangelizing Sisters of Mary also said present during the celebration.
There are another five groups working in the diocese that were not present in the Eucharist, including the Comboni Sisters, Salesian of Don Bosco women and men, the Sisters of Our Lady of Sacred Heart and a group of priests from South Korea.
Twenty different groups of missionaries are ministering in its different missions and institutions together with seven diocesan priests.
