A South Sudan rights group condemned strongly the attack carried by forces loyal to George Athor in Fangak town, Jonglei State.
The attack which started on Wednesday has left at least 40 civilians death including women and children caught in the crossfire.Biel Boutros, South Sudan Human Rights Society executive director, told Bakhita Radio that the attack represented a violation of human rights and the Interim Constitution of South Sudan that grants every citizen the right to life.
Mr. Boutros made these remarks yesterday while calling for immediate support from GoSS and aid organizations to assist the victims of Fangak’s clashes.
