When there is no peace, many bad things happen, said Fr. Tom Poru Martin, Parish Priest of Christ the King Cathedral of the Catholic Diocese of Yei on Friday.
Radio Easter quoted him explaining that lack of peace is due to sinfulness of people living life of lawlessness.
The sinful nature of man brings suffering to him and other human kinds, added Fr Poru.
He quotes Prophet Jeremiah rebuking leaders and everybody in Jerusalem to leave their sinful nature,
The parish priest encouraged Christians that God does not forget and live them alone.
The catholic priest asked Christians to repent their sins and admit that there is some wrong in their lives that cause suffering to people.
He encouraged the faithful to confess with their mouths the sins they committed to God in order to be saved from their sins.
The parish priest advised believers to abandon their wicked lives of hatred, revenge killing, raping women, sexual immorality, robbery and have love in their hearts in order to be saved.
The bitterness in hearts of people is a result of the consequences of sin, but that human beings are lucky because God gives opportunity to repent especially those who are living, he stressed.
The parish priest was preaching on Friday during the morning devotion program at Radio Easter in Yei.
